The Rainbow Bridge

Losing them is inevitable, some day……Scroll down to continue reading...

To all those who grieve for a lost and irreplaceable pet, the following poem has always brought ‘dog people’ some comfort. You never get used to losing a pet; no matter how many times one has to endure it over the years.

Here it is…followed by some photo’s of our beloved Malibu 'oldies' who hopefully will wait by ‘the Bridge' until we meet again...your 'twinkle' lives on in your children and descendants...

'The Rainbow Bridge'

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food, water and warm spring weather. The old and the frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day together. There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group! You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Some photo's and tributes to our 'oldies'...to have known them was to love them and was an honour..

So soon after the loss of 'Wallis' - news from Mum that she had said goodbye to her beloved 'Indy' on 4th August -she was 15 years old

Champion Highla Indyanna Hits Malibu

Indy was such a very special Standard Poodle who was not only a super Champion but the producer of Champions. Indy loved the limelight and came back as a Veteran (she was a Special Veteran Stakes Qualifier) and loved meeting up with her old friends. Everyone loved 'Indy'

Run free old girls....

Both Malibu households are in mourning...

On Thursday 17.07.08 we said goodbye to our beloved little 'Wallis' alias

Champion Malibu Planet Hollywood.

Wallis was Biba's daughter (Wallis is on the right in the photo below with her Mum 'Biba'), and herself the Mum to 'Swoony Over Cloony' and 'The Cats Pyjama's'. Wallis mothered everyone and was the sweetest Toy Poodle you could ever meet. Her tail always wagged and we are heartbroken. We miss them so....

The beginning of 2008 has been a very sad time so far. We were devastated to lose our beloved cat 'Pushkin' on Valentines Day.

**********

News in March from the Mc Malibu's in Scotland to say that Malibu The Hero Wore Tartan alias 'Super Ted' (brother to Ch. Malibu Holdin'On for a Hero) had 'crossed the Bridge' and then on April 2nd, Donna, Steve, Imi and Alfie lost their special old boy, the Hungarian Viszla 'Harry'. Both these boys were dearly loved and we are all thinking of you...

That 'Bridge' is way too crowded.....
